Wei-Yu Chen 陳韋妤
Associate Professor
Wei-Yu Chen is an environmental scientist. Her research is focused on how toxicants and environmental stressors influence aquatic environment and ecosystem, and trophic transfer of toxicants along the aquatic food chain and its impact on ecological health and human health. She is particularly interested in ecotoxicological modeling and risk assessment, combining lab experiments and field measurements in computation.
Weiyu joined the faculty of the Department of Ecology and Environmental Resopurces at National University of Tainan in August 2020. Weiyu completed her B.S. in Environmental Engineering and Management at Chaoyang University of Technology and her Ph.D. in Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering at National Taiwan University. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in Ecotoxicology, Ecological Risk Assessment, and Ecotoxicology Modeling.
